Picador USA will be publishing The Girl with Glass Feet in paperback this coming January, so I wanted to take a moment to share their beautiful new cover art with you.
Picador have also devoted a part of their website to the book. Here you can listen to some thoughts on the inspiration and the evolution of the book, as well as read an interview, look at some sketches I did and more.
In the New Year – if my limited grasp of technology doesn’t fail me – I’ll be updating the book’s page on this site to include new pictures and links to a series of blog entries I’ll be posting here, all talking about the novel and some of the thinking behind it.
In the meantime I was over the moon to hear that The Washington Post has listed the book as one of their best of 2010 and Kirkus Reviews have listed the book as one of their favourite debuts.
I just thought I’d leave a comment saying I read Girl with Glass Feet today and I thought it was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing
I hope to read more of your work some time
I in 100% agreement with The Washington Post – it certainly makes my best of 2010 reading list. Congratulations!
It’s a beautiful cover! It really does capture the atmosphere of the book. Somehow I find myself waiting for the sequel… 🙂
Happy holidays!
hi, just wanted to say i loved your book, seriously, every sentence of it. i must of read it dozens of times. just couldn’t resist an oppertunity to pass on my thanks. hope you will write another.
(p.s. princess monoke is one of my favourite films, second after pan’s labyrinth, but i don’t expect anyone to one up that film.)
Thanks folks, you’re all very kind. I got the first actual copies the other day and it looks really pretty on the book itself.
I hope you all have a great festive season.
p.s. Summer, I totally agree about Pan’s Labyrinth, although I do hope that Guillermo del Toro will top it himself one day. He has the vision for it.
