I’ll be in Newcastle on 25th November, taking part in Books on Tyne: The Newcastle Book Festival. Come along to the City Library, Bewick Hall at 1:00pm to hear me talk about The Trees. Hope to see you there.

Books on Tyne
The partnership between Newcastle Libraries and The Lit & Phil continues with the sixth year of Books on Tyne: The Newcastle Book Festival. Both venues are offering a remarkable variety of talks, workshops and events.
Almost every genre is covered! – we have sport, science, romance, history, crime, film, travel, adventure, ethics, nature, wildlife, astronomy, forensics and poetry.
You can check that the forensics teams on CSI are getting their facts right with our event on science in crime fiction, discover the impact that Dracula has had on popular culture, write a story in just 500 words, uncover the real history of Newcastle and if you have the stomach for it – decide whether you could be an ‘ethical carnivore’ and kill your own meat.
The City Library has a book-binding exhibition where you can try your hand at covering your own book, and on Saturday there’s a special day for families at the Lit & Phil.
I’m sure you’ll agree that there’s something for everyone during our seven-day celebration of books, ideas and writing.
