I’m stunned and delighted to have been longlisted today for the Guardian First Book Award 2009. I don’t really know what to say, except that it’s an honour to be included on a list so exciting and diverse.
You can read the Guardian’s article about it here.
Congratulations!
(I haven’t read it yet but it’s on top of my pile!)
Hurrah – very well done. Deservedly on the long-list in our opinion (and there’s a very nice bit in the Guardian podcast discussion today about your novel which you might try to hear if you haven’t already)
Thank you!
I just heard the Guardian podcast and thought it was great. I’m glad they said it was uninfluenced by literary fashion – I didn’t even know there was literary fashion!
Must stop only reading books by long-dead authors…
Absolutely brilliant and thoroughly deserved. Congratulations from all at C&W!
